Johann Moxam is a Partner of Lainston International Management Ltd. He is an international financial services professional with 18 years of experience with private equity funds and private wealth management portfolios.
Johann spent over 15 years at Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust (Cayman) Ltd., serving as the Managing Director, MLRO, and Corporate Secretary for its Cayman Islands Class A Bank and Trust Company and its subsidiaries.
He is currently the Deputy Chairman of CIMA, the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, and the Chairman of the CIAA, the Cayman Islands Airport Authority. He is also past President of the Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Directors for the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Ben has over 20 years of experience in the legal, fiduciary, corporate, and commercial space, having practiced law and served as a director for Cayman Islands investment funds, trust companies, and multinational businesses.
Before starting his own firm “Bookers,” Ben was a partner in the Cayman Islands office of a multinational law firm, where he practiced corporate, trust, and funds law.
He was originally called to the bar in Ontario, Canada, and was an associate with a Canadian-based business law firm. He then transitioned to Cayman to specialize in Cayman Islands corporate, trust, and funds law, focusing on the formation, restructuring, administration, and regulation of legal entities.
Fernando is a qualified attorney who was called to the Legal Bar in Canada and the Cayman Islands. He was a founder and managing partner of two private legal practices in Canada from 2002 to 2008. He is a qualified non-practicing lawyer in Canada and the Cayman Islands. He has earned the Chartered Investment Manager designation.
In 2008, Fernando embarked on a significant career shift, harnessing his legal expertise to transition into Wealth Management. He then served as an international investment advisor for Scotia Wealth Management in Canada, the RBC Royal Bank of Canada, and CIBC when he relocated to Grand Cayman, showcasing his adaptability and global perspective.
Fernando’s business has been dedicated to serving high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, institutions, and sovereign clients across North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. His proficiency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish has been instrumental in his managing clients globally.
